The popular messaging app WhatsApp is down in most regions of the world.

The double message tick and delivered feature are not working. The issue was seen on both the Whatsapp app and the web interface.

On Twitter, most people are complaining about the issue. Currently, #Whatsapp is trending top in some Asian countries.

Down Detector, a website that monitors server downtime of websites has also confirmed that Whatsapp is down.

The reason for the issue is still unknown; we will update this story once we get more details about this.

There is no official press release from the company, but users cannot send or receive messages through the world-famous messaging platform.
