The upcoming version of the Microsoft operating system, Windows 12, is expected to launch in 2024. Microsoft aims to make the next version of the famous OS fully AI-oriented to meet the market requirements.
With the upcoming operating system, it is expected that Microsoft will revolutionize the world of computer systems. Beta testing is underway, and the RTM version is scheduled for launch in April 2024.
In Windows 12, some of the key features might be AI-driven Windows Shell and Copilot AI assistant, an advanced copilot feature to handle the AI-driven specs of a computer.
This Copilot AI assistant will work in the background to improve search, applications, system workflow, and current process context understanding. AI is understood to be wholly injected into Windows 12 and will require the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for optimal performance.
Microsoft also made some AI-based changes in Windows 11, such as background removal in Paint and Copilot AI update in the operating system.
Windows 12, besides the already explained AI features, will have an AI-powered wallpaper management super-resolution feature in photos, videos, games, and other content types.
