Meta to Stop Showing Facebook News Tab in Some European Countries

According to reports, Meta platforms (Meta.o) said they would stop and discontinue the “Facebook News” tab in some areas of Europe. Users in the UK, France and Germany will be affected by this change.

However, Facebook users will still view news links as news publishers continue using their accounts and company pages. According to Meta, the change will be implemented in December 2023.

Meta will not offer new commercial deals, and they will not provide innovations for news publishers in these countries of Europe.
