Facebook is now rolling out a new feature allowing users to create multiple personal profiles. The move is to attract more users to the platform and make it an accessible and engaging platform for every user.
This was a long-time pending feature. Most Facebook users need multiple accounts as they can’t share certain business-related elements on their profile and vice versa.
Most users prefer to keep their private lives separate from their professional life. For example, I will not share my data with specific groups because I don’t want anyone to see my photos.
Also, I am not using my complete name on Facebook for privacy concerns. Sometimes, you might need a profile for sharing only specific things with a close group of friends.
Facebook is rolling out the best feature of ages for all these experiments. While discussing the new feature, Facebook explained: “We heard from people that clearer organisation of friends, groups, and interests helps them feel freer to engage with the audience they believe is most relevant.”
So, creating multiple personal profiles on Facebook means properly organising your Facebook activities. According to reports, Facebook has been testing this feature for the last year.
As of July 2023, Facebook has over 3 billion monthly active users. According to Meta reports, Facebook has 2.064 billion active users compared to the previous quarter.
