Snapchat Introduces AR Lenses to Desktop via New Chrome Extension

In the era of Augmented Reality, Snapchat is bringing the AR features for a public preview. Snapchat users can use a Google Chrome browser extension to apply AR filters to their video calls, video records, and live streams.

This new feature, available through the Chrome extension, is more powerful and provides more flexibility to users using AR filters on all kinds of videos.

Unlike the previous feature available through Snap’s desktop app, this new extension allows you to access a broader range of AR lenses, such as themes and many more filters from Snap.

It also allows you to customize these filters based on your preferences. To access these benefits, install the Camera extension from the Google Chrome extensions store and log in using your Snapchat account.

The Snap AR feature has been available on Snapchat for the last seven years, allowing users to create funny filters for videos and photos. But now, the feature is extended to video calls.
