Tesla Introduces a $300 AirPower-Like Wireless Charger Capable of Charging Three Qi Devices at Once

The concept is similar to Apple’s AirPower in that the three devices may be put wherever on the Tesla charging pad and receive up to 15W of power apiece.

The charging mat’s angular shape was inspired by the appearance of the Cybertruck, according to Tesla, and it comprises an aluminium enclosure with an Alcantara surface and a removable magnetic base that can be used for charging flat or at an angle.

The charger’s elegant design is made up of aluminium casing, a quality Alcantara surface, and a removable magnetic stand that lets you to set it flat or at an angle for optimum viewing.

Apple launched the AirPower in September 2017, a multi-device charger meant to charge the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously.

Tesla’s charging pad employs FreePower, an Aira technology that has been utilised in other wireless charging systems such as Nomad’s Base Station Pro.

While Tesla’s concept is similar to what Apple hoped for with the AirPower, it is confined to Qi-based devices such as the iPhone and AirPods and does not charge the Apple Watch.
