Cool features will shortly be added to work with Hyundai, Kia, and Tesla, and you may now perform even more enjoyable things with your SmartThings devices.

As was announced in two posts this week, Samsung is increasing the number of SmartThings integrations.

The first announcement on January 3, 2024, was about a new integration between SmartThings, Hyundai, and Kia.  This will see new “Home-to-Car and Car-to-Home services, ” enabling automobile owners to use the SmartThings app to monitor and manage their vehicles.

Through this technology, users also can utilize voice commands to control home appliances while driving a vehicle.

In addition, the Samsung SmartThings app is also teaming up with Tesla, an announcement shared via Samsung’s official websites.

In the second quarter of 2024, Samsung SmartThing will link up with Tesla using APIs, enabling you to monitor solar power production and Powerwall storage via the app.  Plus, Tesla will notify you of alerts through your app and even your Samsung TVs!
