On Wednesday, Meta unveiled new tools for Facebook and Instagram that would improve the experience for producers on both platforms. This includes NFT, Instagram subscriptions, and Facebook Stars updates. The announcement comes as the firm hosts its Creator Week conference, which includes in-person events all across the world.
NFT and Instagram subscriptions
Earlier this year, Meta added NFT support to Instagram, allowing users to display their non-fungible tokens. Creators will be able to build their own digital artifacts and sell them straight to Instagram users with this upgrade. This also implies that customers will be able to support creators by purchasing their one-of-a-kind NFTs.
In addition, the business is focusing on introducing support for digital video collectibles to Instagram, as well as developing support for more blockchains and wallets, including Solana and Phantom.
Meta is also making premium Instagram memberships available to all creators in the United States. Creators may monetize their material with subscriptions by offering unique benefits to those who pay. Meta will soon allow users to send “gifts” on Reels as a new way to help producers monetize their work.
Facebook Stars and Professional Mode
In terms of Facebook, the firm is broadening access to Stars, which are virtual commodities that people can purchase to show their support for artists during live streams. Other types of material, such as ordinary movies, photographs, and live broadcasts, will soon be able to use the Stars function.
According to Meta, the “Professional Mode for Facebook Profiles” will be made available to everyone who wants to be a creator on a worldwide scale.
