iOS 17.03 Released to Resolve iPhone 15 Pro Overheating Problem

Apple released iOS 17.3 for iPhone 15 overheating issues. The latest update was released just a week after the launch of iOS 17.0.2. Besides iOS, Apple also launched a new version of Apple iPadOS, 17.0.3, for iPad users.

Like any other update, the latest version of iOS can be installed by going to Settings app > General > Software update.

The latest version focuses on the new overheating issues for iPhone 15 Pro models. The overheating problem was identified by various users shortly after the iPhone 15 lineup was launched.

Many customers complained that their phones were getting heated and, sometimes, even shutting down automatically due to overheating problems. Last week, Apple confirmed that a build issue in iOS 17 would be fixed.

Apple also accused several apps, including the famous Instagram, of overheating problems. Apple confirmed that all users facing the heating issue will see it resolved with iOS 17.0.3 update.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the overheating problem was due to the compromises made in the thermal system design.
