New York: Elon Musk, the SpaceX, Tesla, and Twitter owner, resigned as Twitter CEO. The American Tycoon announced that he would step down as Twitter chief.
He announced his resignation through Twitter and said that the company’s new CEO will be a female and she will take charge within six weeks. There are rumors that the new CEO will be Linda Yakrain, currently serving as head of advertising at NBC Universal.
The successor of Elon Musk will lead Twitter as CEO and CTO at the same time. Although Elon Musk resigned as Twitter chief, he will look at other company operations including products and software.
It is important to note that Elon Musk bought Twitter for a record deal of 44 billion US dollars.
Soon after purchasing the micro-blogging platform, Elon Musk announced that he would step down as CEO as soon he found someone better for this position.
