In Australia and New Zealand, the third-generation Apple TV 4K is officially launching today, November 4, which is also a Friday. Due to the time zone differences, customers in Australia and New Zealand are always the first to get new devices.
Customers in Australia will be the first to be able to purchase one of the new Apple TV 4K models at an Apple retail location since there are no Apple Stores in New Zealand. Given that the Apple TV is not typically a device in high demand, we anticipate that the majority of stores around the world will have the Apple TV 4K readily available for walk-in purchases.
In comparison to the A12 chip in the model from the previous generation, the Apple TV 4K has a much faster A15 Bionic chip that offers 50% faster CPU performance and 30% faster GPU performance. The new Apple TV 4K supports HDR10+ on televisions that support it in addition to HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It also has a thinner and lighter design than the previous model. Additionally, a new Siri Remote with a USB-C port is included.
The Apple TV 4K costs $129 for the 64GB model and $149 for the model with 128GB of storage, a built-in Ethernet port, and support for Thread for connected home devices. The price of the new Apple TV 4K is lower than that of the earlier models, which started at $179. Sales of the Apple TV 4K will start in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and then North America after New Zealand and Australia.
There won’t be any more Apple products released in 2022 after the Apple TV 4K, which is anticipated to be the company’s final release of the year. Early in 2023, new Macs are what we can anticipate.
