Apple Releases visionOS 1.0.1 Ahead of Vision Pro Launch

Apple has released the visionOS 1.0.1 update for its headset users. Though the Vision Pro is not yet launched and will be available from February 2, this update has been marked as a day-one update. The build number for the new release is 21N311, which is an upgrade from the previous beta 7 build 21N305. User @nicolas09F9 discovered this release.

According to developer Nicolás Álvarez, details about additional features in the recent software update remain unclear. While specific information about new functionalities is unavailable, the version number suggests that the update is likely centered around minor adjustments and bug fixes.

As per insights from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is poised to dispatch Vision Pro review units to a select group of media professionals after a meeting on January 23.

Thus, those headsets should be pre-installed with visionOS 1.0.1 as an instant update. If the first Vision Pro units come with visionOS 1.0 installed, it might also be a day-one update for the general public.

The Vision Pro stands as Apple’s cutting-edge headset, seamlessly blending augmented reality with spatial computing. The industry’s reaction to this innovation is a narrative yet to unfold.

Stay tuned for in-depth guides on visionOS and the groundbreaking Vision Pro headset, which we will promptly share as soon as additional details emerge, unraveling the full potential of this technological marvel.
