YouTube is Shutting Down the Ad Free Premium Lite Subscription Plan

YouTube is discounting its low-cost subscription plan, the Premium Lite. According to reports, the ad-free subscription will be available on October 25, 2023.

The YouTube Premium Lite plan was first offered to select European countries at £6.99. The Premium Lite was offering ad-free videos on YouTube.

The lite subscription had other premium features such as offline downloads, YouTube music, and video background playback.

After October 25, premium lite users can use YouTube’s basic version or subscribe to the newly launched YouTube Premium, which includes features not available in the Lite, including background playback and YouTube music.
