The tech expert and Billionaire Elon Musk indicated that X, formally known as Twitter, could charge a monthly fee from all users using the micro-blogging platform.
It means that X could go behind the paywall to handle the excessive number of bots and automated accounts, which is a headache for Twitter owners. Elon Musk pointed out that this action would effectively take the bots.
While speaking with the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, the Twitter founder, shared that X will charge every user using the platform.
Twitter is charging users for its premium services only, including the famous blue tick on the profile—the excellent service costs around $11 in the US for iPhones.
In the meeting, he said we would charge a small monthly payment to use the system. According to Musk, bots cost a small amount of money to set up, and putting costs on new accounts will pressure the software operators.
He further explained that whenever an operator wants to create a bo, they must pay for it and use a new payment method.
