OnePlus 11 and 12 Gain AI Features With The Latest Software Update

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series has been receiving a lot of attention lately due to its advanced AI features, but OnePlus has also been introducing its own AI upgrades.

The latest Colour OS update is now available for Chinese users of OnePlus 11 and 12 devices, and it brings significant technological advancements through firmware versions PHB110_14.0.0.403(CN01) for OnePlus 11 and PJD110_14.0.0.405(CN01) for OnePlus 12.

A tip from Reddit user milkyteapls and Android Authority member Mishaal Rahman reveals OnePlus’s strategic decision to include AI technologies into the Colour OS in China.

OnePlus models in China use Colour OS, which differs little in functionality from the Oxygen OS used elsewhere. The OnePlus 11 and 12 are set to receive cutting-edge AI tools in the upcoming February Colour OS 14 update.

OnePlus introduces three generative AI features, providing a unique twist to user interactions.

1. AI Summarizer: Craft concise summaries of phone calls, highlighting key details such as time, location, and relevant information.

2. AIGC Remover: An image editing tool that seamlessly erases unwanted elements from photos, aligning with AI photo editing trends seen in Samsung and Google Pixel devices.

3. Article Summarizer: Simplify the reading experience with quick and efficient article summaries, accessible with just a single tap.

Beyond these OnePlus-specific AI features, Color OS gains additional AI enhancements, including AI Environmental Sound Cancellation, which effectively reduces background noise during phone calls.

While these updates currently cater to the Chinese OnePlus 11 and 12 models, the global rollout timeline for other OnePlus models remains uncertain.
