Nvidia RTX 40 series laptop GPUs are now appearing in the Geekbench database. An RTX 4060 laptop GPU is already available. We have another submission today, but this time from an RTX 4090 laptop GPU, which outperformed the RTX 3090 desktop card in the identical benchmark.
Benchleaks’ Geekbench entry shows an unnamed laptop (X370SNX) with an RTX 4090 laptop GPU, a 24-core Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, and 32GB of RAM. Furthermore, the entry provides some of the GPU’s specs, such as the fact that it has 76 CUs, which translates to 9,728 CUDA cores. Finally, it indicates that the GPU would have 16GB of VRAM and a maximum boost frequency of 2,040MHz.
According to the entry, the GPU earned 210,290 points in the OpenCL benchmark, putting it 2.5% higher than the average RTX 3090. When compared to the fastest RTX 30 series laptop GPU, the RTX 3080 Ti, the next mobile GPU is 55% faster, representing a significant generational performance uplift between flagship SKUs.
It is currently speculated that Nvidia will reveal the first RTX 40-powered laptops at CES.
