According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the future iPhone 15 models, which are expected to be released later in 2023, will support the Wi-Fi 6E standard. Kuo stated in a letter on Apple’s development of a Wi-Fi chip that the iPhone 15 will be upgraded to Wi-Fi 6E.
Wi-Fi 6E devices may connect to the 6GHz band through compatible routers and cable modems, delivering quicker speed, reduced latency, and less interference than the normal 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
Wi-Fi 6E is becoming increasingly common, and a Wi-Fi 6E router is necessary to take full benefit of it. Wi-Fi 6E hardware is already available from a variety of manufacturers, including Netgear, Asus, and Linksys.
Other iPhone 15 features include a USB-C connection, faster 3nm A17 CPUs for Pro models, periscope lens technology for the high-end iPhone 15, solid-state volume and power buttons, a titanium upgrade, and the addition of the Dynamic Island to the basic iPhone 15 range.
