Since releasing its stand-alone TV app a few years ago, Google has been attempting to phase off the Play Movies & TV name and services.
The firm is already finalizing arrangements for permanently removing Google Play Movies & TV in January.
According to The Verge, the business has made clear guidelines for loyal consumers to keep using the stuff they have already paid for.
It can be perplexing because access varies depending on the viewer’s device.
On January 17, 2024, users watching on Android TV-powered TVs and streaming devices can access the movies and TV shows they purchased in the “Your Library” row under the Shop tab in Google Play.
Through the YouTube app, users of Android TV cable or set-top boxes may access their previous content and continue to purchase and rent movies and television series.
They’ll need to open the YouTube website in their browsers to view their previous purchases and borrow or buy new ones.
We can verify that these modifications have already begun because we can view old movie purchases on the YouTube website. The changes will be finished in the next few weeks.
