Google and iFixit Extended Partnership for Repair Parts of Pixel Fold

The wait is over; Google Pixel Fold is now available for sale in the UK, Germany, Japan, and the United States. There is also good news the partnership between Google and iFixit is extended, and these two companies will work together for Pixel Fold repair parts, tools, and manuals.

A Google spokesperson for 9to5Google confirmed the news. These fixes will include screen assemblies, battery repairs, and charging ports. It means the new Google Pixel Fold is the first phone with user repairs.

Previous phones from Google only provided in-house repairs. For Google Pixel Fold, Google will also offer in-store and mail-in phone repair options.

Besides these new options, Google plans to offer an extended warranty monthly or an on-time payment option.
