Apple Has Removed Russian VKontakte (VK) from the App Store

Due to the increased tensions between Russia and United States, there are some new developments in the tech world.

In the latest developments, Apple – the world’s largest and most famous tech company has removed the Russian social media network Vkontakte (VK) from the list of apps in the App Store.

In this regard, a statement was released by the technology giant Apple yesterday, in which the company said that the reason for removing the Russian social media network from the App Store was the UK’s accusations against Russian personalities and institutions.

According to the AFP,  Apple clarified that they removed the social sharing app from the App store just to comply with the local laws of the US.

VK is a famous app in Russia as well as in other parts of the world. It is a social sharing app just like Twitter, and Facebook. Apart from messaging, VK is also used for digital payments and purchases of goods.
