Apple May Not Launch Watch Ultra 3

If you compare the Apple Watch Ultra 2 with its predecessor, you will see no significant changes in the latest release of the Ultra series. This no-change policy of Apple suggested that the company is looking to bring some substantial changes to the Ultra 3 in 2024.

This may not be the case, as there might be no Apple Watch Ultra 3 in 2024. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that Apple has not started any work on the upcoming generation of Apple Watch Ultra.

This is an unusual thing considering Apple’s traditional product development timeline. But there might be some other reasons for this unusual thing.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo further said that Apple might be delaying the release of Ultra 3 to develop some health management features for the wearable technology.

Furthermore, Apple might be working on the challenges associated with microLED as there is news that the upcoming wearable devices will switch to microLED technology from OLED, which is currently in use.

Apple launched the Ultra series of wearable devices in 2022. The latest model was launched in September 2023, and there are hardly any new features.

The outer of the Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2 is the same; however, in the latest device the S9 chipset is used, and brightness is also increased from 2,000 nits to 3,000 nits.
