Apple Increasing Testing Efforts for its Autonomous Vehicle Project

In the new year, Apple shifted focus to not just the Vision Pro and upcoming tech but also expanded its autonomous vehicle project with more test drivers. 

Apple’s attention is now on the autonomous vehicle, sidelining rumors about the company’s Vision Pro project as it takes center stage in its next major development.

In 2023, Apple began with over 200 autonomous vehicle testers but later downsized the team.

According to recent reports, Apple currently has 162 drivers testing their autonomous vehicles alongside 68 autonomous vehicles undergoing thorough testing.

The highly anticipated “Apple Car,” a fully autonomous electric vehicle, is anticipated for release in 2024 or beyond.

Rumors hint at it being a contender against Tesla and other electric cars, with possible collaborations with Hyundai or BMW.
