A fix for problematic third-party programs.
In the best-case situation, you get all of your RGB components from a single manufacturer and just require a single, presumably flawed program to manage them. And, while programs like Signal RGB offer to manage all of your RGB components, in my experience, they don’t perform as well as they could.
All of this makes the possibility that Microsoft is working on a native Windows 11 solution for managing RGB lighting more interesting.
This week, software developer Albacore discovered a secret function for managing RGB components in the newest Insider release of Windows 11.
Microsoft has introduced lighting options to the customization menu within the Windows 11 Settings program, as seen in the screenshots Albacore supplied (via Bleeping Computer). The interface displays all of your RGB components, including external peripherals.
Microsoft has even provided the ability to match your computer’s lighting to the color of your Windows accent.
