Users are criticizing Meta social media platforms, Facebook & Instagram, for the new update to remove ads for paid subscriptions.
According to the owner of Meta, Facebook, and Instagram, this update is released while following the rules and regulations of the European Union. After the new update, millions of users of these two social media platforms will have the option to stop viewing ads after paying the fee.
If a user wants to see the ads, there will be no subscription fee. Most of the users threaten that they will delete their Facebook and Instagram accounts rather than pay for them.
Based on the recently released update for European users, web users will have to pay $10.57, while iOS and Android smartphone users will have to pay $13.75 to avail of the no-ad platforms.
It is important to note that recently X (formally known as Twitter) offered a paid subscription for some premium features.
Users are criticizing Facebook owner that he is copying Elon Musk.
