T2 is led by former Twitter employees who want to recreate the “public square” of Twitter.
T2, an invite-only Twitter alternative led by former Twitter employees, is offering a “Get the Checkmark” feature to lure users with legacy Twitter verification to its platform.
The feature allows users to transfer their Twitter verification to T2 by filling out a brief form for a fast-tracked verification process. T2 is one of several Twitter alternatives that have sprung up in the aftermath of Musk’s takeover. The program is available for a limited time as legacy verifications are set to disappear from Twitter on April 1st. T2 is also announcing the hiring of a new CTO and a redesign of its platform to look more familiar to Twitter users.
The platform aims to recreate the pre-Musk Twitter “public square” and hopes to attract influential users with legacy verification to help achieve this goal.
