Samsung Announced Gauss - Their Own Generative AI for Galaxy S24

At the AI Forum 2023 event, Samsung unveiled its AI model, Samsung Gauss. The event was held at the R&D campus of Samsung in Seoul, South Korea.

The name is Gauss is based on the Gaussian theory founder Carl Friedrich Gauss. Gaussian is considered the backbone of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Gauss, the company’s first Generative AI, is currently used only by Samsung employees and is not publicly available.

Samsung revealed that the AI model will soon be available for public use through its upcoming Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

The Gauss Generative AI includes Gauss Language, Gauss Code, and Gauss Image. Samsung plans to launch new products based on these AI models in the coming months.

The first product that will be available with these AI models is Galaxy S24, which is expected to launch in 2024.

Just like existing AI models, Gauss can understand human language and generate answers accordingly.

It will be helpful in generating emails, translating languages, summarizing documents, editing content, and writing certain company documents.
