HONOR Magic V2: Thinnest Foldable, Now Available for Pre-Order in Europe

HONOR, the global premium tech brand, has introduced the HONOR Magic V2 to the European market, including the UK.

The launch event, held at the Porsche Experience Center in Leipzig, Germany, showcased the device as the thinnest inward-folding smartphone worldwide.

With over 400 media representatives and partners in attendance, the event emphasized HONOR’s dedication to innovation and design excellence.

The Magic V2, previously launched in China, is now making its debut in Europe.

The HONOR Magic V2 retains its title as the thinnest book-style foldable globally, boasting a slim profile of 9.9mm when folded and merely 4.7mm when unfolded.

For context, the Google Pixel Fold measures 12.1mm in thickness when folded and 5.8mm when open.

Notably, its nearest competitor in this category, the OnePlus Open, is just under 2mm thicker when folded and slightly over 1mm thicker when unfolded.

The HONOR Magic V2 boasts a 6.4-inch AMOLED cover screen with a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz and an impressive brightness of up to 2,500 nits.

Weighing just 231 grams, the phone achieves its lightweight design through a 3D-printed titanium alloy hinge and a silicon-carbon battery featuring two thin cells with a total capacity of 5,000 mAh.

HONOR asserts that the phone can endure 400,000 folds or 100 folds per day for 10 years, thanks to its innovative hinge.

Key specs include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera (f/1.9), a 50MP ultra-wide (f/2.0), and a 20MP telephoto (f/2.4).

The device is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging support. 

HONOR Magic V2 is available for pre-order in Europe, priced at £1,699.99 in Black Vegan Leather and Phantom Purple. Pre-orders are open on HONOR, Amazon, Very, Argos, and Curry, with sales starting on Three from February 2.
