Huawei Own HarmonyOS 2.0 Announced, Coming in October 2021

Last year, the Huawei smartphone and smart device manufacturers announced its own mobile operating system, Harmony OS to fulfill the gap after the Android and Trump issue.

On September 10, 2020, the CEO of Huawei announced the second version of their own platform HarmonyOS 2.0 in an official Huawei developer conference. The good news for Huawei and its users is that the new OS will be expanding to more and more devices.

In the conference, the Chinese most famous phone brand confirmed that the first Beta version of HarmonyOS 2.0 will be available from today (September 10, 2020). Developers can use it on smartwatches, phones, and smart TVs. The SDK of the HarmonyOS 2.0 will come to the smartphones later this year in December 2020.

Right now, the first version of the Huawei owned operating system is available on smart TV sets manufactured by Honor and Huawei. The HarmonyOS 2.0 which will be in the market next year, it will be installed and used on smartphones.

According to the Huawei software head, the interaction between the devices with HarmonyOS 2.0 will have a faster speed than the current cross-device platforms.

HarmonyOS 2.0 is Open Source

According to the source, the new Huawei operating system will be completely open-source. It means anyone can read and examine the system for diagnostics. It is a good and unique selling point. In the other famous OS such as iOS and Microsoft Windows is not open source. It means no one can read and examine the inner specifications of these systems.

According to the company software head, anyone can read the code, rebuilt the HarmonyOS 2.0, and make it run on their own. The code will be available in April 2021 for larger devices and for download purposes it will be in the market in October 2021.

HarmonyOS 2.0 is Developers Friendly

As it is new in the market so it making it sure to attract developers in any possible way. They are making it user and developers friendly. The management encourages the developers to join the HarmonyOS 2.0 ecosystem and make it successful. The company has created a developers framework, compilers, and IDE for the sake of helping developers.
