Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, has approved the termination of an extra 30,000 workers.

International media sources claim that because of the company’s recent developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, Google may soon have to eliminate another 30,000 people. Notably, in January 2023, Google laid off 12,000 workers.

As artificial intelligence (AI) technology grows, experts claim that Google is restructuring its Ad Sales division. This decision was made following Google’s statement that the Ad Sales and Customer Service divisions would be reorganised to meet the growing usage of AI technology.

According to the article, several contracts have been terminated recently due to advances in artificial intelligence. The company’s plan includes a digitalisation initiative for the customer service and ad sales departments.

When Google debuted ads using artificial intelligence (AI), the decision was made to fire staff members. During a recent internal meeting, the restructuring news for the Ad Sales and Customer Service departments was made.
