According to the report, Apple has a special XDG team investigating next-generation display technology, artificial intelligence, and options for future AR/VR headsets that will assist people with visual issues. While there is no information on what Apple is working on for a future AR/VR headset, accessibility has always been a priority for the company.
Apple strives to make its products usable by everyone, and the iPhone, iPad, and Mac all have a variety of accessibility settings that help with various visual, hearing, and motor issues. This feature could allow the headset to project additional visual information to those who are legally blind or have other visual problems, as well as provide audio directions to those who are blind.
