The 44mm case size is available for $249, which is not as big of a discount. We recommend the SE as a top pick for first-time or budget-sensitive buyers, but it lacks advanced health-tracking features and an always-on display.

It does have notifications, heart-rate monitoring, crash detection, and a water-resistant design, and it runs on the same processor as more expensive Apple Watches.

This model is best for those upgrading from an older Apple Watch or buying their first Apple wearable for under $300.
