Samsung once again tops the global smartphone market shares and is ranking first. Beating famous names like Apple, Oppo, Vivo, Motorola and other names by a wide margin.

According to the report shared by counterpointresearch.com, the overall smartphone market was down by 8% in quarter 3 of 2023 compared to the same quarter of 2022.

The report further explains that 2023 is not a good year for famous brands like Apple and Samsung. But due to some good policies and a wide number of gadgets, Samsung is in a far better position which covers 20% share of the global market in Q3 2023.

Although Samsung is ranking one in the shipment, this number is 13% less than 2022. Samsung launched some high-end flagship phones such as Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 which were game changers for the company.

Due to the improved performance and unique design, the new phones were sold more than their predecessors.

Apple is getting 16% of the global smartphone market shares but their sales dropped by 9% compared to the previous year. Similarly, Xiaomi is third with 12%, and Oppo and Vivo are fourth with 8% shares each from the global market.
