Samsung once again tops the global smartphone market shares and is ranking first. Beating famous names like Apple, Oppo, Vivo, Motorola and other names by a wide margin.
According to the report shared by counterpointresearch.com, the overall smartphone market was down by 8% in quarter 3 of 2023 compared to the same quarter of 2022.
The report further explains that 2023 is not a good year for famous brands like Apple and Samsung. But due to some good policies and a wide number of gadgets, Samsung is in a far better position which covers 20% share of the global market in Q3 2023.
Although Samsung is ranking one in the shipment, this number is 13% less than 2022. Samsung launched some high-end flagship phones such as Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 which were game changers for the company.
Due to the improved performance and unique design, the new phones were sold more than their predecessors.
According to the counterpointresearch.com report, iPhone maker, Apple is ranking second in the list.
Apple is getting 16% of the global smartphone market shares but their sales dropped by 9% compared to the previous year. Similarly, Xiaomi is third with 12%, and Oppo and Vivo are fourth with 8% shares each from the global market.
