The Apple event for the iPhone 16 lineup launch is just around the corner, likely to be held in the first half of September 2024.
To meet the production target of 90 million units, Foxconn, the iPhone manufacturer, has additionally hired 50,000 new workers for its company in Zhengzhou, China.
According to a report by BusinessKorea, Foxconn offered increased salaries to meet the production deadline.
For the Zhengzhou factory, the company has increased the hourly salary by up to 25 Yuan and the hiring bonus to 7,500 from 6,000.
It’s important to note that the Zhengzhou factory is the largest iPhone manufacturing company in the world.
The increased workforce and incentives aim to ensure timely production and meet the high demand for the upcoming iPhone 16 series.
